Trade talks have collapsed and Trump's tariffs are hitting Ontario steel, auto and forestry workers. This is the moment our money should be building Ontario jobs, and Doug Ford has been signing it away.Ontario's new subway cars are being built by a Japanese company in Maryland. The WSIB is laying off Ontario workers and sending the money to Iron Mountain, an American firm. A $140 million contract at the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital went to a U.S. company. Every elementary teacher's $750 classroom supply card can only be spent through American-owned Staples, the same company Ford handed ServiceOntario to. And in Niagara, his government still won't say whether the steel going into the Garden City Skyway is Canadian.None of this was forced on Ontario by Washington. Every one of these contracts was a choice made at Queen's Park, with our money.
